BY GABRIELE – I feel cold. All the time. That’s because I’m a woman. Most of you will no doubt sympathise? So it’s hardly surprising that even at 15 degrees, my hands and feet don’t feel completely warm. It doesn’t matter whether I put on 3 pairs of socks, adopt the famous onion look with at least 4 layers of garments or then wrap myself in a cosy wool blanket.

And my nose. My nose is always first! It is the first part of me to feel cold and the last to warm up again. It feels as if I have been pressing it up against shop windows for hours.

As I can’t indulge myself with a hot bubble bath to warm up – because we don’t have a bathtub – I sometimes need to resort to other methods.
