They traveled to New York joining the Fashion Week madness for us and put their favourite OUTLETCITY accessories in the limelight. Here is their report:

New York – that famous city with a skyline of dreams that we have all seen in so many films. It’s no lie when they say: “These streets will make you feel brand new, big lights will inspire you”. We’re with you – we couldn’t help but stop and stare at the amazing landmarks, including the Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building and Brooklyn Bridge. Not to mention the incredible atmosphere you sense wherever you are in New York. It’s hard to describe but it even makes you forget how busy the streets are.
Twice a year, everyone in the world of fashion and lots of other fashion enthusiasts look across the pond for inspiration, as this is where the tomorrow’s trends are born.
For us, New York Fashion Week meant a dream come true for the second time. After all, who doesn’t long to head into the concrete jungle to snap away at all the hottest street styles, showcased against some stunning backdrops? That’s why we’ve decided to share one full day with you, revealing our highlights, letting you in on the top hotspots in the city and, of course, discussing our outfits with you.
But first things first… We always try to make sure we leave enough time for the most important meal of the day. No matter how hectic our schedules are. At breakfast, we went over the plans for the day, whilst fuelling up and discovering the latest food trends. There are so many incredible restaurants in New York that it made sense for us to plan ahead and pick out the places we simply couldn’t miss out on. Chobani was right at the top of our list, enticing us with its offering of bowls of Greek yoghurt with fresh toppings.

If you’re looking for a bit more variety on your breakfast table, however, Dudley’s will be right up your street. The menu at this Australian-inspired restaurant has everything your heart could desire – from avocado on toast and chia pudding to pancakes, banana bread and granola served with fresh berries. We definitely recommend washing your amazing breakfast
down with a matcha lemonade.

Now that we have made your mouth water, we’re actually really here to tell you all about our exciting time at Fashion Week. Shows, presentations and events featuring well-known design royalty and talented newcomers alike were on the agenda. And this year we were particularly blown away by the collections from Jean Paul Ataker, Lanyu, Claudia Li and Marcel Ostertag, which combine craftsmanship and elaborate detailing with minimalist cuts and clean floral prints.
Now let’s get down to business and talk about outfit choices, which is probably what we gave most thought to ahead of our trip. You have to have something truly stunning to wear for such a special occasion, right? So we faced the usual major challenge of finding the balance between a highly fashionable, perfectly polished look and feeling comfortable throughout a long day.
We hope you’ve enjoyed our look back at our day at New York Fashion Week and have been able to get a feel of what it is like to be part of the action there.
