Black & White

Outfits für lange Beine: Beine verlängern mit Längsstreifen

BY JANINE – Opposites attract! And contrasts attract me, too… in the truest sense of the word 😉 One “colour combination” that means you’re always well put together, is of course THE contrastive pair: black and white! Why? Monochrome simply suits everyone. The combination looks refined, purist, classic, timeless and style confident. And your purse will be happy too. Black and white goes with everything, so that most other colours will go pale with envy 😉 With just a few other pieces, you can recreate new looks endlessly. So if you ask me, classic monochrome colours are everything but monotonous. And (hopefully) I’ll prove that to you with two of my favourite looks.

Outfit 1: The frill’n’flounce dress

Flounces and frills are back! This much was clear from the catwalks of Prada and Balmain, as early as last year. And… they’re here to stay. 2018 will be even more extreme than this year. So if you want to be ahead of the trend, you’ll love this dress from Pinko. The crossbody bag from Karl Lagerfeld sets exciting accents in black and white.

“These boots are made for walking…” I love heels that aren’t too high – just like these ankle boots from Shoe the Bear. Because I know myself only too well – if something is uncomfortable, then I’ll only wear it once! And then never, ever again. Are you the same?

Outfit 2: Marlene says hi

My all-time favourite black and white outfit consists of a chic white blouse with a small raised collar and black Marlene-style trousers. Originally worn by women in the 1930s, as a sign of emancipation, the Marlene trouser is not only extra wide and extra comfortable, it has also become extra stylish! No wonder, as they magic up endlessly long legs on every woman…

We laugh about yesterday’s fashion, but are enthused by yesteryear’s fashion, if it comes back in tomorrow.“ (Marlene Dietrich)

To ensure the look still has a nod to today’s trends, I combine two different monochrome patterns: striped earrings and my Escada pumps with a hexagon print.

Have you always thought that colourless outfits could never hit the mark? I hope I’ve been able to convince you otherwise… well, you’ve seen it here in black and white! 😉
